Net Gear is owned by Bay Networks who don't make crappy gear. Transfer rate and view who is connecting at 10 or 100 Mbps. We use it to share an internet connection (Adelphia two-way cable) between 6 PCs along with files and printing. So far no problems. This hub easily handles the standard job of a hub and has a useful aesthetic quality that you won't see in 3com's white plastic. 3Coms is trying to disguise its hub as an external modem - why?
