Review on ACDelco 23103351 Original Equipment Canister by David Caldwell

This item is a refurbished part and is twice the size of the original but will fit. I watched a YouTube installation video on a 2008 Silverado and found that the filter is not in the same place on a 2009. Mine was found near the transmission on the passenger side. The video also shows the use of a 5/8 inch hose going from the solenoid to the vapor canister. I reused the original hose but not sure how well it will hold up as the size of the new part changes the position of the hose giving the canister a different angle. I can replace the hose if it doesn't hold up well. For now it has been taking care of my check engine light but I should note that I also replaced the gas cap as suggested by some so I'm not sure if it was a combination of the two or either one that was causing my problem solved. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I feel there should be more information on replacing the part and how it affects the installation. Luckily I read another user's post saying that a jumper adapter is required.
