Review on Viair 90103 165 Pressure Switch by Christopher Ruth

I bought this to replace the factory switch for the VIAIR 20007 Air Source Kit. I've been using it for a few months with no problems. I installed the kit under the hood where it will be exposed to higher temperatures and the factory switch had 2 wires coming out of the rubber boot. A few months after installation it started leaking air around the wires and you can't service it without damaging the entire switch. This replacement has 2 spade shaped connectors that appear to be able to handle higher temperatures under the hood. A nice bonus is that if it fails, it's easy to replace rather than cutting wires and re-soldering everything. Just unplug the cables from the connectors and reinstall when you're done. I have also read other websites that state that these pressure switches are the weakest link in ALL automotive airborne installations.
