I am having difficulty trying to connect an AEM Wideband output sensor to my laptop to capture my 2011 WRX data for the tuning ECU to log. Initially I had a cheap cable with "Prolific" chipset. It didn't work so I bought this cable with "FTDI" chipset and it works fine. I didn't even have to look for a driver! I just plugged the cable into my laptop for setup, he installed it and set everything up. Once this was complete I connected the RS-232 side to my broadband cable and the USB to my laptop. Works perfectly, I would recommend this cable to anyone trying to log their AEM AFR sensor data on their laptop. Also, the cord was long enough to tuck away and store when I'm not using it. Worth the money instead of struggling with a generic cable like me. UPDATE: 4/1/21 This cable works so well I bought another for my second car project to use the broadband data protocol.
