I really like this spoon cutter. This has enabled me to work on spots and grains that were previously difficult to work on or difficult to reach. Other spoon knives have a more even curve that's great for certain shapes, but this blade has a sloped curve that varies over length. This allows me to start with pressure on the center of the blade, for example, and then adjust/move the pressure point as needed to suit the changing grain pattern. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, this knife was a game changer for me and at a very reasonable price.
