Review on ๐Ÿ’ฟ High-Performance SEA TECH Aluminum External USB Blu-Ray Writer Super Drive for Apple MacBook Air, Pro, iMac by Gary Reed

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Can be annoying - sometimes it takes persistence and time

Sometimes it works with my new iMac, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes my iMac recognizes music CDs and I can copy the music to my computer. Sometimes I can't. If nothing happens when I insert the CD, I eject it with the paper clip in the small indentation next to the eject button. I then try a number of things to get it working: disconnect and reconnect the USB drives, restart the computer, disconnect and reconnect the drive. It is not pleasant to follow this ritual. I never know which of these things will work. I was able to watch Blu-ray movies (using Leawo Blu-ray Player). I still couldn't save file data to blank Blu-ray discs (using Toast Burn).

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Something different
