Review on LG 34GP83A-B Inch Ultragear: Curved, High Dynamic Range, πŸ–₯️ G-SYNC Compatible - Ultimate Performance at 3440X1440P with Height Adjustment by Levi Feldman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Basically a good mid-range IPS monitor with an aspect ratio of 21:9

**Update in 6 weeks**: I'm giving it two stars mainly because they never provided the missing cable (although I worked with customer support for an hour to order it). but also because the OSD software is very clunky/slow. It's still a really good monitor, but if I had to do it again I'd probably spend more for the 950G option. --- Works remarkably well, especially after a few minutes of normal setup/"new monitor" setup. Yes, there are more expensive models, but I've done a lot of research and I think this model is the best value for money. Mine arrived with no dead pixels and the backlight is minimal - mostly just in the lower right corner. (I hardly notice it and only on very dark backgrounds.) - The curve is more subtle here compared to Samsung's gaming monitors and I prefer this as I also use this monitor for work/office. - Colors look great no matter what I do. Games, work, movies. I haven't seen any ghosting or other oddities while playing. Response times are fantastic and G-Sync compatibility has been great so far in my experience. (I drive all 3080 12Gb so YMMV haha) - 21:9 games look amazing! (And the ones that don't just have black bars on the sides, and it doesn't matter at all.) - Watching movies shot in 21:9 is an incredible experience, especially with a little flexibility! In combination with my studio monitors and my subwoofer, I suddenly have a great personal cinematic experience on my desk. Just a few cons: Mine came without the USB-B to USB-A upstream cable needed to use it. Monitor USB ports, update OSD software, etc. (But they're shipping it to me now, so I'm not reviewing it.) Build quality seems cheap, and everything is plain black plastic. No pros, no cons: I didn't use the monitor stand that came with it, as I immediately mounted mine on a VESA mount. I'd say it feels heavy/hard, but it's also really ugly. (Looks like a boomerang made by the Klingons haha.)
