I love how good the edges look, most pieces have minimal bark loss. I think even if I removed the bark they would still look very nice. The 2 sets of cords that were included would go well with a rustic or primitive theme and I appreciate that they were included. When carving with a laser engraver, be aware that the rings interrupt smaller details. Maybe setting the laser to a greater depth will help to solve this problem. If you're firing with a handheld wood burner, adjusting the pressure and time will likely make the design and tone more consistent. The dimensions are accurate and the depth is quite significant. They come in a thick ziplock plastic bag, which means I can store these pieces of wood in without having to look for another bag or storage container. I haven't painted on it yet as my main goal is woodcuts and poetry on it. I had no chips and although the top is not as smooth as a small board they are of a much better quality than I was hoping or expecting. Thank you for reading.
