I'm probably not the easiest person to handle saws. I used grinding wheels almost exclusively. I'm using a lot of old oil field pipes to build a fence. When using grinding wheels to cut pipe, they tend to glaze and require extra pressure to continue cutting. If I do that, I'll burn out my saw after a while. With these blades I don't need to apply any extra pressure as they cut pipe without too much pressure saving me the extra expense of buying cut off saws. I cut 2-1/2 into the overturned pipe, which is thick and hard, and made about a hundred cuts before considering a blade change. I change grinding wheels after about 6-8 passes. I would recommend these blades to anyone doing a lot of heavy cutting.
