I have a very slim 6 year old and it is very difficult to find swim trunks that fit (he still fits in a 3T belt). I've noticed that many styles just have an elastic waistband that falls straight down. They have a functional drawstring waist so we can adjust it as needed. They are long enough to fit a tall figure and we can tie them tightly without bundling a bunch of extra fabric at the back. He swims every day and there have been no quality or color issues between bathing and washing.
