The previous engine had "dead spots" and occasionally wobbled or stopped working and I needed time to cool before I could lift the glass. This engine solved this problem perfectly. As mentioned in other posts, the motor is noisy. Time will tell if that's a problem. If you are considering replacing your power window, be aware that the original motor is riveted into these Astros. This engine came with mounting hardware. I wasn't sure if the bolt would stick too far on the glass, so I put it in with the heads back and the nuts on the side of the motor toward me.
