This product comes with plastic grommets that fit between the metal of the unit and the glass shower door. They just didn't stay in place and acted as a lubricant for the pinch part of the roller to slide off the glass. I think rubber would be a better material for this. I ended up filling the gap in the clamp part with adhesive caulk, placing it on the shower door and lightly tightening it. After the sealant was dry, I tightened it as much as I could. While the braces are in place (about 6 weeks have passed). After unpacking, they stayed in place for about 8 hours.
