Set of 5 SDS-Plus Carbide Impact Drill Bits for Masonry & Concrete with 3/16-1/2 " Shank

When doing housework I sometimes need to drill concrete foundations or in brick. Installing a masonry fastener screw means drill a hole first. For this I found that an SDS hammer drill with a chuck would work best. The Tungsten Carbide (TC) cruciform tip comes in 5 diameters: 3/16", 1/4" (2 each) , 3/8" and 1/2", 5 total in 4 sizes. A 9/16" bit in the set would be nice. They are all about 160mm (6") long and have a usable double flute drilling depth of about 90mm. They come in a plastic case that contains them all and it was broken when I got it. Figure 1 bits; Figure 2 shows bit tips with TC transverse design. The dimensions of these bits are marked on the shanks and the body of the bit is made of carbon steel to withstand the impact of a hammer drill; The normal drill bit is made of a different hardened steel and will break instantly, so it is different in the same color as the normal drill bit SDS-Plus shank which, when used with an SDS-Plus impact drill (Fig. 3), prevents the drill bit from rotating in the drill chuck This allows for quick bit changes as all SDS- Plus shanks are the same. The HAMMER bit offers repeated impacts parallel to the bit to slam the tip against the material being drilled, as well as rotation. The IMPACT bit only strikes with a direction of rotation that is appropriate for this B its NOT suitable. ALWAYS USE EYE PROTECTION! High-speed rotating tools WILL throw debris that can cause serious injury. Remember to wear a respirator or heavy-duty dust mask when drilling in concrete, as inhaling the fine powder can cause problems with lung silicosis. Safety above all! I highly recommend this LionMount SDS-Plus 5 Piece Drill Bit Set, SDS+ 4 Cut Hammer Drill Set and Storage Case for brick, cement, stone and concrete. 3/16", 1/4", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2". Bits are strong, well made and should last (although they aren't!). They are excellent value for money I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
