Works great in steel
This has worked great in my Bridgeport factory for cutting 3" holes in 1/2" cold rolled sheet metal . Saves a lot of time compared to using a drill tool. The tool is sharp and cuts fairly quickly with coolant. I have sold these core drills and bought a whole family of large sizes and use them on my mill and lathe.

- Drills large holes 10 times faster than regular drill bits

- Not as thick as other drill bits
