and it worked great. Good value for money

Cuts quickly and accurately. I made a few overlapping holes and the tool didn't move at all. I put it into a 3/4" collet as received and it worked great. Good value for money.

Pros
  • Cuts holes in steel precisely, quickly and safely
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Works great in steel

This has worked great in my Bridgeport factory for cutting 3" holes in 1/2" cold rolled sheet metal . Saves a lot of time compared to using a drill tool. The tool is sharp and cuts fairly quickly with coolant. I have sold these core drills and bought a whole family of large sizes and use them on my mill and lathe.

Pros
  • Drills large holes 10 times faster than regular drill bits
Cons
  • Not as thick as other drill bits

VERY IMPORTANT! Revised

It took me a bit to cut ten 2" diameter holes in 1/4" steel for a project. I knew it was cheap and wouldn't take long , but I thought it could cut at least 10 holes. ZERO! Yes, that's right: ZERO! This drill could not cut steel at all. I applied enough force to the chisel to almost stop my magnetic drill and everything this chisel could do was scratch the surface. I used a lot of cutting paste and tried again and again to no avail. DO NOT BUY: A COMPLETE FRAUD! FURIOUS replacement came next day

Pros
  • With 3/4 inch Weldon shank. Guide pin hole = 1/4" diameter
Cons
  • Slightly torn
