I attended Craftsy Unlimited (now Drawing) to learn to knit and when I signed up I received a free knitting kit. The set is for a beautiful braided blanket, so I learned how to use braid holders for the first time. These U-shaped holders are ideal because you can leave them hanging with your loops while you work on the other loops of cord and you don't have to worry about your loops slipping out of the holder. They are made of thick, durable plastic that slides easily over the seams. Once you master the technique (which direction to lay the stitches and knit from the holder) it will be very easy! The braids on the blanket I'm knitting go great with these halters (see photo). I will be buying more different sizes to adjust yarn gauge and knitting needle size for my other projects.
