I have a fairly new, very fast tablet/laptop combo (Windows 10) and the Wi-Fi in my office is spotty at best. Of course I want to use the speed of my tablet/laptop while working. While the wired connection is 100Mbps, all connections are made using an RJ45 Ethernet cable. Unfortunately, my tablet does not have an RJ45 connection. But it has many USB ports! Enter this RJ45 USB3 network adapter. I bought it, received it quickly, connected it and was online without delay at a speed of 100 Mbit / s! Large downloads (using Chrome's built-in download) on a 100 Mbps connection is about 12.5 Mbps (100%) and on my 65-70 Mbps connection it's also 100% ( 8.5 Mbit/s). These speeds are comparable to computers connected via RJ45 and computers receiving full speed 5GHz WiFi. [PS, although I read another review that their download speeds through the adapter aren't optimal, I just had no issues and slow download speeds.] That's it. It's plug and play and forget and works as promised.
