The device is well assembled in a metal case. I've struggled to get DFS to connect to the software. It turns out that the baud rate was set incorrectly on the COM port. In Device Manager, right-click on the COM port and select Properties. Click the Port Settings tab and set Bots per second to 38400. Data bits is 8, parity is none, stop bits is 1, flow control is none. Everything was fine later, but the speed was set to 9600. Hope this helps as logging is great!
