Not as sharp as desired. The tip of the self-tapping screws stuck together instantly and didn't drag the drill into the wood. In fact, the drill drifted significantly more than other auger drills I've used. Most drill bits have two tips to cut through the wood before the cutting edge touches it. This bit only has one which makes the bit drift towards the tip. I had to put in considerable effort to get through the bottom of the closet, the floor, and the sub-floor to get the plumbing through. I don't want to use it as an everyday work tool.
