We use this product to fill the gap between our wall and the sliding barn door. We glued it directly to the wooden barn door and as we slide it open this foam compresses gently and quickly, closing the gap and reducing the noise coming into our hallway. The foam isn't rigid, so it doesn't squeak when our door slides. After almost half a year of using this product with the door constantly sliding, I am confident in the durability of the tape and this product.
