Installed on a 2005 PT Cruiser. I did it at the same time as the radiator because there was more work space and it was the old factory condition (124,500 km). The installation was fine. Not much space to work. They say you don't need a gasket, but my factory had a rubber gasket that goes outward and presses into the body of the T-Stat, which you unbolt from the engine. It was a little tricky to install in the car but I also used some high temp sealant to ensure there are no leaks in the future. After putting everything back together it runs great and has driven about 700 miles with no problems. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good thermostat. I also recommend anyone replacing their radiator to replace the thermostat at the same time. I am an ASE certified automotive and diesel engine specialist with 16 years of professional experience.
