They are an excellent source of heat for your snakes and reptiles. I would recommend it to friends.
Heat output and temperature are excellent, we use them for our snakes. They work 12 hours and don't work 12 hours. This is how they learn to regulate their temperature at night. That way, if at some point we go out of power, it wouldn't be that hard for them until we could fix the situation. Since we haven't had it for a very long time, I can really speak of longevity, but I find it to be a reliable source of heat and would buy it again.
