I had a Verizon when I lived in New Jersey, I had an old cable modem and a Linksys wireless router, the combination worked well. In anticipation of moving out of state, I contacted Verizon and was assured that all the "i,s" are separated and the "t,s" are crossed out. Went through so many hoops and through so many barrels it made my head spin when I got to my new home. I was told that this particular modem was used here. It's a piece of junk. Signal cannot travel more than 15 feet through drywall without losing Wi-Fi performance. God forbid I have a smartphone and a laptop. Issues with buffering, latency, not to mention having to reboot this modem 3-5 times a week. Verizon tech support is a joke. I am able to obtain non-Verizon services and am in the process of reviewing them. This modem offered by Verizon must be carefully considered before deciding to use Verizon as your ISP. Also have a Belkin signal booster only 15 feet away and it works fine but still having a problem getting a signal from the modem.
