Review on 🔌 Transcend USB 3.0 4-Port Hub TS-HUB3K, Black: Enhanced Data Transfer and Convenient Multi-Device Connectivity by Zachary Spaulding

I've had this hub for 5 months now and I can say it works fine on my Mac. Features 3 regular USB 3.0 ports and 1 Super Speed (Fast Charge) port. I use Super Speed to charge my iPod, iPhone and iPad mini. Sometimes the computer says the device isn't charging, but I look at the device and it shows the charging icon and is actually charging at a reasonable rate. I use it with power and have used all four at the same time - no problem. One port is dedicated to an external drive (time machine), while the other three are used intermittently. I noticed that it would lose connection from time to time, probably due to the external drive. But that doesn't happen often, and I think it could happen that a drive in an Anker enclosure (which is great) goes to sleep or something. It happens again, maybe once a month, if that. Appropriate connections to the suburbs, very reliable. It's a nice size (small) and the ports glow with a soft blue LED when the connection is active. The transfer speed seems to be comparable to a direct connection to the computer's USB port, ie. quickly!
