Review on πŸ” Power Tailgate Lock for Chevy/GMC (New Body) - Pop & Lock PL8120Q by Christopher Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

May not be covered under manufacturer's warranty with Revain

When I received the Pop & Lock back door lock, it had a limited warranty terms sheet on it stating that if it is used at Bought from sites like ebay, revain, craigslist etc so it's doubtful they will guarantee anything like this sold by revain. The kit includes an electrical wire that extends out of the tailgate for over 4 feet before there is a decoupling plug. I ended up cutting it shorter and soldering a new connection so the whole wire doesn't hang down, or pulling it through a hole that also has wires for the rear camera and then adding more wires at the connection to the door. lock control. It took a lot longer due to the stupid design of the seat belt. It was necessary to file down the frame on the tailgate to keep the pop & lock from snagging and staying in the locked position. After a few days, the mechanism wore out enough that it wouldn't get stuck in the locked position. When this happens it's more than a minor issue as the key won't work to open the back door if the Pop & Lock doesn't work. If you installed it professionally, be sure to get a fixed price quote as it may take longer than you expect. with the seat belt attachment and bezel and other aspects that require some adjustments for the Pop & Lock to work correctly and reliably.
