Much better than pincer-like skin punches. I needed a solution to punch some holes in leather to make an ax sheath. I originally bought a plier style Tekton punch from Amazon and it ended up tilting its head so it didn't work properly at all. This created sloppy holes that didn't cut all the way through. Then I bought them for the old school style of pounding on the skin. This worked much better for my purposes. The holes were nice and even, and I was able to pierce multiple layers of skin with ease. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the low price, but after using it all my fears were dispelled. If you're doing any of the leather work above and adding a belt hole every few years from time to time, you're bound to get those stylish kicks. Highly recommended!
