I have two of these to fit in the back of a Yukan (not XL). They are a good match. If you are careful when installing they can be opened with the tailgate closed, which works even better if you think someone might be closing the tailgate when the covers are open and your glass isn't broken. Although it looks like a diamond plate, it's actually made of soft aluminum. So it sort of prevents smashing and pinching, but a determined person with a little time and a small crowbar can bend things or pick a lock with relative ease. It's light and small enough for an SUV, but not secure enough to sit outside in the bed of a pickup truck.
