Not suitable for 2018 Model X!

Not all reviewers have had the same experience, but this adapter definitely doesn't fit my 2018 Model X. As one reviewer who posted and commented on the picture said, the shape of this adapter is slightly different from the original Tesla charger. When I plug it in, the car keeps showing "charge port latch not engaged" and the charging current is only 16 amps. This is confirmed by the charge port on the vehicle flashing orange. As I continued to insert the adapter, the device indicated that the charger was properly plugged in and allowed charging at 32 amps from the J1772 charger (flashing green light). However, the adapter is now stuck in the car. It's so stuck that when I try to pull it out I literally fall backwards and stumble like I'm in a cartoon! At this point many of you may be wondering if I unlocked the charger from my car: I HAVE! I must have pressed the release button ten thousand times and heard the release mechanism move and the adapter was still stuck. I panicked, thinking I'd have to call roadside assistance. After a lot of back and forth, I was finally able to remove the adapter from the car. Just for comparison, I connected an original charger from the manufacturer and it easily detached. I always shop on sale and believe in aftermarket items. Trust me: it's not worth the price difference. Just put up with it and buy an adapter from the manufacturer. I now regret having to deal with the issue of returning this defective product and am concerned that I may have caused irreparable physical damage to my machine.

Cons
