Review on πŸ’» Enhance Your Desktop with Richer-R Floppy Front Panel: USB2.0 HD-Audio & Mic Interface by Keith Alvord

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works fine, -1 for short HD audio cable

The correct item arrived intact and looked exactly like the picture. Both cables and five mounting screws were included in the kit. I've looked into similar devices before, so the first thing I did after receiving this was disconnect the cables and check the output ends of each one on the device itself - if the connectors bend the pins, I want that know beforehand let them into my motherboard. The fit was a little tight but not too bad. I connected it correctly and all four ports tested fine. The transfer rate was compatible with USB 2.0. For reasons best known to the manufacturer, there is a four-pin Molex connector on the board, but since there are only two USB connectors, nothing needs to be connected there. Perhaps the same part is also used to make hubs. Visually, the black tone is maybe just a bit darker than the boxes I have in the 5.25 bays, but it still looks okay. My only complaint is that the HD audio cable was too short to fit neatly into the connector on my motherboard; I'll probably end up ordering a longer one to replace. The length of the USB cable was ok, but only because the plug was closer.

Pros
  • High speed transfer
Cons
  • I won't say anything
