
It worked, but not in its original form. I have found that it is not possible to fit a new seal to the tool without flexing the outer seal. I cut off the outer lip and just used it as a tool to push the gasket in. It's much easier to just put the seal on the end of the crank and use a tool to push the seal in evenly. Worked great and didn't leak. Installed on a Ford Ranger 01 with 2.5 engine.
