This is cool stuff. I teach myself how to make molds and it definitely helps to master the sculpting techniques. I don't spend tons of dollars and silicon to learn. Just warm up and repeat. I love it so much I went to their website and bought a few more in bulk. (I assume the price per pound was the same, but I'm pretty sure Revain somehow gets a cut of the $ here on Revain.) I just went straight ahead. They also have a lot of information on their page about methods and ideas. It's like a small 3 person operation and they seem very friendly and passionate about helping you. I made a few prototypes, a replica of a small, dainty ceramic statue that I intended to cast in resin to make it durable for outdoor use, and ended up buying about £12 I think for casting replica guns to practice at work. . . I look forward to trying new ideas and maybe buying a food safe version to turn my ideas into delicious, tasty food. I suggest not using deli containers for heating in the microwave. After about 2 rounds of heating the larger mold, the container melted and my wife yelled at me. Now measuring cups made of Pyrex glass!
