These are great little adapters - this is my third I see I can't hold her. I mostly use it with a small star ratchet and it comes in handy at times. I'm a little surprised how many reviews complain about the "magnet" as there is no magnet in this frame. This one and my previous two held onto every bite I put in - some slightly better than others. Keep in mind that some Chinese bits are a bit smaller these days, and if you have them and need to store them, a magnetic or locking collar is the right choice. If your bits are loose and 1/4" in size, make sure the spring band/clip is in the correct position - there is a small indentation on the opposite side of the gap for the ball to rest against , and that's all you need. The clip should not rotate easily when in use and the ball should never pop out - if it does the 3/32 ball is working and you can gently tighten the strap if you can gently remove it without getting caught inside a spring as in is an anvil with ratchet, just band clamp and ball. Works great, proven design.
