Pros: Seems accurate, easy to use and read, toggles between Celsius and Fahrenheit, and lets you choose between body temp, room temperature, and surface temp. Also has memory so you can save past temperatures. There's a lot to love about this thermometer. So why a one star rating? When taking a dog's temperature, you need to hold it close to your ear. When measuring the temperature, there are five very shrill beeps. In your dog's ear. The noise annoyed me and the thermometer wasn't near my ear. Some dogs can handle it, but mine can't. She freaked out when I tried, and I wouldn't put her through that when she's fine, let alone when she's sick. I don't understand why they just don't have a flashing light or vibration to signal that the temperature is being taken. They took a seemingly great product and rendered it unusable for its intended purpose.
