Easy to install and stronger hold than OEM. However, I felt that the spring section connecting the hood to the lift wasn't as firm as it should have been, and certainly not as firm as the OEM. Given how the elevator works, I don't see this as a major issue as you would need to intentionally apply lateral force to move the elevator. However, I feel that the lifter needs to be closer to the ball on the hood. This was for a 2005 C6 convertible.
