We bought an old house with very thick (nearly 1 inch) thick stucco trim. We installed a couple of lights on the front using another hole saw. It took about three hours to drill each hole. We needed to drill another hole for a bathroom vent and the model we were using wasn't that size so we bought this one. It's a bit more expensive. But it was worth it! The hole for the plaster was drilled in about 10 minutes. It took a little longer to pierce the wood, but this is for concrete, not wood, so that's no surprise. If I had to do it again I would buy this model for other holes! extra. It's infinitely worth it.
