I installed this unit on my 2005 Ford Escape today because the window was starting to get stuck in the closed position. After installing that I tried the window and it goes up and down like it should. I would like to warn you that the Dorman part is slightly different from the factory part as it requires 3 nuts to attach the regulator to the frame. The factory part uses 3 screws so you will need to have them on hand when installing this part. It also has a power cord instead of a built in plug on the controller, so you need to be careful where you route it lest it catch on the mechanism and get pinched between the controller and the door frame during installation. This is the second Dorman window regulator I have replaced my factory units with and next time I need it I will have no hesitation in purchasing another Dorman part.
