Great learning fun for young scientists! I bought one for myself and one as a birthday gift for a friend's 6 year old son. I found it very easy to use and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the images it captured. It's also very easy to use with my computer (nice to have a big screen!), and it was very easy to transfer microscope photos to my computer via the USB cable. My grandchildren (3 and 5) love mine and it's easy for a 5 year old to work with. She seems excited about it! Good that the light is adjustable. This allows you to easily adapt to the ambient light conditions when taking photos. The base and lift are strong and move smoothly when the handles are rotated. Overall, I think it's great value for money. I recommend watching the video for information on the controls as there is little detail in the manual.
