I give 1 star for these chains - one chain broke in the snow on the 3rd day of operation. I bought them last year but only used them recently, in the winter of 2015-16 we had a lot of snow in the Tahoe area of California. We were on Christmas vacation, got caught in a heavy snow storm and chain steering was installed on the passes. I put them on and rode normally for two days. Never more than 25 mph. On the 3rd day, as we were leaving the entrance of our home, one of the chains broke. It's good that that didn't happen at the top of the pass, but on a relatively flat road I was able to get to the gas station and buy new chains. It can be seen that the quality of these chains is poor as the pull element itself broke (I expect the other cable to break first, not the pull cable which should be the most reliable).
