I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro and needed more than just 4 USBC ports (Thunderbolt 3). I especially needed the ability to use the GigE, USBA, and HDMI ports for both work and home. I'm also known (just ask my wife) for doing an incredible amount of research before buying any electronics. Since performance only depends on the weakest link, I wanted to make sure the hub's performance was up to par. After extensive research I came across the CharJen Hub for Mac with GigE. It has held its own in terms of performance and build quality. After receiving and actually using the hub, I was pleasantly impressed. So impressed I bought another one and made it my own office dock. It's too early to tell how reliable it will be in the long run, but 5 out of 5 for me so far.
