Cheap but not CHEAP

I've read a lot of reviews of these cutting discs and it seems like a lot of people have complained that the discs break easily. do they break Yes, but if they break it's my fault, not the wheel. If I break them, it's because I get impatient and start pushing too hard on the bit. I need to tell myself to relax and take my time. I have a Black and Decker variable speed drill press and have found that the wheels work well if I really relax while cutting and let the weight of the drill press do most of the work with minimal pressure from my side. I love these cutter wheels and plan on ordering more not because they break but because I use them so much they wear out. I've cut tin and even heavy metal and they work very well. My recommendation: don't rush. Take your time. If you feel the need to hurry, buy diamond cutting discs. I also have a few diamond wheels, but I mostly use cheaper wheels. Let the weight of the drill do most of the work for you. Do not press hard on the drill. Work in short bursts. I create a guide line, then go back and let the drill use the weight of the drill to cut through the material in one spot, then move on to the next small area. If you have a variable speed drill, use the correct speed. If the drill starts to "knock”, change to the next higher speed.

  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Good but not great
