Get what you pay for

The price was cheap, very. The quality of the goods corresponds. I mean, you look at these drives and they break. However, I must add that the slight breakage is due to the very thin construction and is not 100% bad. Of course, to make a very thin cut, the slice must be thin. I have found that if you are very careful and hold the dremmel firmly and evenly without twisting it you can make a nice thin cut. Just don't try to push and force out a lot of material. you won't make it You can't argue…

Drop it and it shatters

I had a cut off piece that came with a previous Dremel purchase so I was more than happy to place an order for this one as I was pleased with its performance . The feeling didn't last long as the first one I took out of the container broke when it hit the concrete floor. The next ones didn't last that long either. I was very disappointed with the quality as I expected each disc to have to be used more than once to cut off ordinary nails driven into wood. If it cuts, it cuts, but you have to be…

This is a great price for good wheels

Pros: Cuts metal Very cheap price I didn't have any passes (clamped on the shaft). Replace the wheel after it falls apart (at least it takes some time and fiddling to unbolt and bolt back on the fastening system). Remember that no mounting mandrel is included. However, I have several; It is a conventional standard/common shank and screw system. My Use: I used my first three to cut through several 6 volt battery cases. I'm reusing a six volt battery case to make a rechargeable battery case…

50 years of quality

For over 50 years I have used these discs primarily for trimming the HO line under 1/8 inch thick and similar metals. I used them for cutting HVAC ducts. , wear off a few before cutting an 8" x 12" hole in the galvanized sheet metal. Cutting heavier metal takes patience and the metal gets HOT. High school math says the rim of these little disks is moving at 84 miles per hour at 30,000 rpm. I used very gentle sideways pressure to scrape the solder off the rails and the discs build up some solder

  • Lots of good vibes

Cheap but not CHEAP

I've read a lot of reviews of these cutting discs and it seems like a lot of people have complained that the discs break easily. do they break Yes, but if they break it's my fault, not the wheel. If I break them, it's because I get impatient and start pushing too hard on the bit. I need to tell myself to relax and take my time. I have a Black and Decker variable speed drill press and have found that the wheels work well if I really relax while cutting and let the weight of the drill press do…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Good but not great

I have used Dedeco cutting discs before and have been happy with the quality but they were a lot more expensive than Dremel. I've read a number of reviews on here that these cutting discs crumble and fall apart easily. I decided to try them. Here are my findings: 1) Just like the Dedeco, they are brittle and need careful handling, especially not hitting from side to side 2) Do not over tighten the screw in the collet or you will damage the wheel and it will be more blueprints3) Use a steady…
