Works as described!
I bought this as a PS3 hub. So far everything works fine if all ports are occupied. It didn't come with a power adapter, just a USB cable. According to the instructions, the cable supplies the box with power. Two connections of 500 mA each means that this device draws 1 amp in total. I'm sure it will work fine on any other computer, I only bought it for PS3.
