We're pretty disorganized here and have to look for special tools that don't retract. It may seem like you have to remember to put things back in place, but often the reason for a fix is that you had to do something and it broke, so sometimes the tools are hidden in the wrong place because what you fixed took right time. don't brush at this moment. So we have half a dozen tape measures of this size. It's easy to compare one brand to another but harder to find for photos :( This Zabiki tape is a good medium shot. This tape measure was $10, the Milwaukee width was for $40 listed and Harbor Freight was about $5 each has its own some heights for example have a second function - with a half finder if you spread the tape to full length find the exact length and then same length on another Find scale to show exact center of original length. Of course, THIS band looks the same as other HF bands until you unfold it to see the scales, so it's rarely found quickly. All HF bands work fine and are approx. 15 year old but the numbers are smaller (I'm getting a little blind now) and they can't handle extended measurements beyond 5 or 6 ft. They also don't have a magnet at the end of the band Magnets are good if They work alone, the heaviest and widest, but actually the strap width is exactly the same as the zabiki and it has a tendency to split and fall when stretched nearly 8 feet, as does the zabiki. BUT once it pops and falls, Milwaukee tends to squirm so you can't just spin it back, you have to rewind and try again. The Zabiki is new, so the spring is probably stronger because it's new, but it has the fastest rebound of them all (all brands can cut you if you're not careful). practical result. Everything works, everything gets lost, red Milwaukee is easy to find, black and yellow cheaper ribbons are easy to miss and pile up. The price is the main difference. For the price of ONE Milwaukee you can buy 4 Zabiki or 8 Port Cargo Straps. Do what is important to your own needs. I'm happy with Zubiki because I'm doing projects for our house in Texas and the small houses my wife is buying for her family in the Philippines. If I can get her to use Zabiki, she'll learn to judge in feet or meters more easily.
