This is an EXACT replacement for our fan. It took a Phillips screwdriver to take the fan apart, pliers to remove the old fan cage, and a small hammer to put the fan cage back onto the new shaft. The total exchange time was about 10 minutes and I was in no hurry. After one, I made another NuTone using Century Electric Motors C01575 universal fan motor for $22 less. This fan took about 5 minutes to replace the first one from my EXPERIENCE. I would give this fan 5 stars if it weren't so expensive compared to Century Electric Motors generic C01575 motor which cost $11. See my review there for this fan which was 5 stars. Again, my only complaint is the price. Too expensive.
