I removed the rubber lip around the bushing because it might melt. This can make the greenhouse less weatherproof in a humid location, but the greenhouse is mostly humid and sheltered from rain. The plastic bulb socket also melts. So get ceramic rosettes and metal surrounds, whether you use it for a greenhouse or for a pet, because the surface temperature is very high. They were a little smaller than expected, measuring 4-5 inches at their widest point. I was hoping for 6-8 but that's ok.
