This is a great concept but the reviews seem beyond exaggerated. Foot placement variety is good, but I've had this experience before with rubber blocks over soft carpet for a fraction of the price. In fact, rubber blocks worked better because they were movable. Comparing the clock on this mat to similar clocks on the cheap mats showed less pain from the cheap mats. This rug is good and each rug seems to be a dream after working at the desk for a long time without it. However, in my experience as someone who has worked at a standing workstation for over 8 years, this is the least comfortable of the dozens of mats I have used, albeit by a small margin. It's also the most expensive. The raised edges of this mat allow you to place more clutter on the mat. The round foam simply rolls onto the mats without protruding edges. The addition of squib blocks and rollers allows me to move higher and seems to offer a lot of comfort. While I won't be using this mat in place of others, I can see how useful it is without anything. It deserves an honest solid 3 stars as a good product with an average feel but unfortunately at a premium price.
