Phenomenal product! Love from first use! I use it to filter oil from my fryer and it filters 98% or more of contaminants and takes less than a minute to filter over 2/3 gallons of oil. The wide spout hits the butt and the mesh liner is thinner than I expected, allowing all but a few grains of fried fine flour or cornstarch to filter out if used as a coating. Heavy, solid construction - the European production of this funnel stands out (refreshing these days with lower quality Chinese goods). The only downside I see is that the screen sits loosely in the hopper, allowing for separation and loss during storage. potential problem for some households. I put the funnel and strainer in an airtight plastic bag and store them in an empty fry basket between uses, which solves the problem for me. A little pricey but SO EFFICIENT, so solid and well made it's worth the money. Makes the previously tedious work of filtering frying oil much easier! Highest recommendation!
