The fault, if any, is how ridiculous it is that U must bang on it to install a large vacuum seal on a Dana 60 front drive axle (my FORD axle anyway) . Despite how hard the instrument was struck, it held up well. I am considering putting in a different mount before even attempting to attach this large vacuum seal. It's beyond stupid how much effort it takes to install. And I pre-greased the oil seal and bracket. I called Timken, a wheel bearing manufacturer, and they said they use lithium grease on MY hubs. So I felt comfortable adding some of the same type of lube.
