AD/SELLER RATING: 5/5 STARS Yarn came quickly and was exactly as described. A bag of three was packed together and all three had the same lot numbers and staining dates, which is important. YARN ITSELF: 3/5 to 4/5 STARS This is definitely a soft yarn and I really like the color. I bought Neon Orange because my husband asked me to make him a hunting hat. Up until now I've really struggled to find a yarn that even remotely meets the Blaze Orange standard, but I think I've finally found it with this yarn! Also, all simply soft Caron yarns have that lovely silky sheen, rather than the typically dull sheen of many yarns. However, as already mentioned, it is prone to cracking. If you are new to crochet/knitting or easily frustrated when sharing yarn then this yarn is not for you. They definitely need to improve the way they spin this particular yarn. However, if you are more experienced or used to working with 100% cotton yarn like me (which is always prone to splitting regardless of quality) you probably won't have any problems or may not even notice the splitting. I only worked with Caron software prior to this purchase and didn't even notice the disconnect until I read the reviews. That's because I've become so used to cotton yarn. However, I paid more attention to my next project and it really tears too easily for regular acrylic yarn, even cheap fabric. TL; DR - This listing gets 5 stars for fast shipping and matching color kit numbers. For the yarn itself I would personally give it 4/5 stars but have lowered it to 3/5 stars because it breaks easily which can be frustrating for some people, especially beginners.
