Review on DEWALT DW5230 8 Inch 6 Inch Carbide by Troy Gerhardt

Now I know the purpose of the perforator. I bought 2 drill bits and figured I could use a regular drill bit to drill holes in aged concrete. The first drill was destroyed in less than a minute with a conventional drill. Used another old drill bit that drilled reliably through the concrete block with the same result. Bought an inexpensive electric hole punch at the local Orange Box store and tried again. It worked as advertised, drilled 4 nice holes (water was used to cool the drill). It looks like it will be good for more. This is a good product if you use it with the right hardware. Good luck using a regular drill bit.
